Hit up city markets with Ann today. First had Breakfast @ Badde Manor in Glebe. We had yummy chai tea with some vegetarian style breakfasts (definately coming back here, review will be up soon)

Browsed Glebe Markets. We both bought the same skirts (long flowy black gypsie style skirts), i bought two neclaced chained mini clocks (the types that nurses have in hospitals). Ann changed into her new skirt as it was getting too hot in her jeans (we both gotta makes sure we never go out with the same skirt now hee hee)

Headed over to Paddington & browsed the markets there, plus oxford street stores, and the FRINGE bar markets which is a bar, that has stalls in them its so cool cos the place is air-conditioned and under cover. Ann bought a funky head band which was handmade with feathers and material and little jewels it was quite pretty.

i LOVE browsing markets for art, jewelry, unique styles of clothing, vintage & oldschool stuff. Had soo much fun today :):)

Headed home to babysit Annie while my parents went out. Had Sam & Juls come over for some tea & cake (seriously the two cakes were mega huge). We all sat in the living room with Annie, eating cake, catching up on goss ^.^

Had a looong day, so after they left i got Annie ready for bed, got myself ready for bed, watched abit of 'what women want' & conked out.

Yummy white wine sangria - my new favourite alcoholic drink :) Usually i have red wine sangria which is nasty (i pick out the fruits and only have tiny bits of the drink, give the rest to someone else). But i dont think all places have white sangria ?? Because this was on special tonight..

Dinner tonight @ EL Bulli with Anita Shirls & Ann. We stuffed ourselves with yummy potatoes, bread with aoli, paella, & mussels. My favourite dish of the night was the potatoes, which were deep fried then smothered with the special house dressing i dont know what it was i'll be doing a review on it later though YUM!!!

Popped one of SHirls zantax tonight so i can drink (apparently it stops you from getting asian flush when you drink), it semi worked ! haha i should of taken it before dinner though because i did go abit red.

Ants said she'd be designated driver so we had more drinks @ Starcity. I want a crackberry!! Shirls has one i would be SOOOO addicted to it if i got one.

Met up with Shirls friends in Starcity, got quite drunk me & Ann & Shirls & the boys haha it was so much fun! (Thanks Ants for taking us home after)

Picked up Jeremy on the way out of the city, he was with Jane from 'Freshcakes' & she had two massive cakes for me - she wanted me to do a review on them!!

One lemon poppy seed, & one chocolate. Seriously they were HUGE i got home (still semi drunk) & was taking photo's, and rationing them out to Anita, Jeremy, Ann, William & Rick (he's gone camping all weekend, im not sure if his slices will last the weekend haha)

Finally got to bed (with cake still on my face and fingers) but i was sooooo tired & conked out (after twittering) haha addicted -_-

Rock climbing tonight with Ann, Pete, Rick & Jeremy. 

I tried bouldering - which is climbing up semi backwards without a harness (and you fall back onto thick mats). I was scarey falling back but i liked it - its something i want to get better at. There are different colour rocks going up, purple being the easiest then it gets harder by the colours that you follow.

Afterwards we went for kebabs & baclava (way to go for all that fat burning full body work out at rock climbing haha)

Dad got some raw macadamias from a friend's garden - so we were out in the backyard, with hammers trying to crack them open. It's impossible to get the shell separate from the actual nut - i managed to try some raw macadamia - it is sooo nice (even though i only got a tiny little piece to eat)

The way to get them ready to eat properly - is to dry them out for several weeks, then to slowly cook them... basically we need some kind of factory or some sort ?? haha dunno what we'll do with the rest of them!!

Took this on the way home from work. I think cos of daylight savings coming up soon, the time that i come home is when you sun is abit lower then usual. You can't see it well but all the suns rays were shining through the clouds i pulled over next to a footy field to take it - the only spot where there are no houses or buildings in the way.

Rick joined our footy team tonight, we lost by ONE POINT grrr. The other team had these two players who were just TOO fast for any of us and kept getting around us to score. We were tied until 5 seconds before the game !!

Woke up at 5AM this morning, me & Rick went to Bondi to take photo's of the sunrise ^.^

Surprisingly it wasn't too hard to wake up cos i was so excited. We had some baklava on the way up, and i made some honey milk tea and put it in the flask and brought that with us (it was still pretty hot once we got to Bondi)

Next time i want to go further up towards Bronte, so we can capture the sun full coming up from the horizon.

After that we went to Macro in the Junction for breakfast - we were their first customers - and received a free coffee!

Back home after that, i went straight to sleep while Rick went to the gym. I Woke up 2 hours later feeling very refreshed (and happy that i slept back the sleep i missed out from waking up early)

Spent the rest of the day with Annie, took my mom to the shops to buy some groceries & what not.

Went to dinner with Danny & Tash, we ate @ Billu's in Parramatta (food review coming soon!!). Love indian, but we ALWAYS order too much whenever we go, even though we ordered ONE dosa, it was HUMONGOUS (and great value for money it was only $11) and it was delicious with the rose lassi (a yogurt based drink)

Hosted a breakfast at my place this morning invited Rick, Ants & Jeremy Over :) Had a great time cooking eating & catching up, i'd love to do this on a regular basis! On the menu was:

Eggs
Bacon
Mushrooms
Muffins
Tea
Juices (thanx to Jeremy)

I cleared out the table out back, and put down my mum's picnic mat from the 70's, it was a lovely morning !!

After Ants & Jeremy left me & Rick got ready to go to Julie's place, and got ready to head up to the city for a light lunch @ Benbu (review coming soon, pics here)

What was meant to be a light lunch ended up being a big lunch because the food was SO NICE!! This little take away place, with only a few tables, served the best sushi rolls, and gen mai cha tea :)

After lunch, headed over to Centennial park with our bikes, did about 4 laps (3.8km each lap), then sat down and had some chippies by the water. Centennial Park is beautiful i want to come back and do sum running, & rollerblading :)

Friday - finally :)

Was extra happy to leave work today i'm not sure why i guess cos i was looking forward to the weekend so much, got a few things planned :)

After having a small dinner at home with my family, i looked outside and saw some grogeous colors in the sky. Grabbed my camera, tripod, and filters and sped off around the area to find a nice spot to shoot. Ended up in Cecil hills, where i couldnt see the sun set - but nonetheless the photo turned out nice

Went to meet Sam & Julie for dinner around 9.30pm (Julie finished work late). We tried out the new pizza place near my house, CRUST.

Ordered 3 pizza's between the four of us (food review coming soon). It was really nice, i'd definitely go back and try the other 'gourmet' pizza's bascially its a new chain of pizza take away bars, which serve gourmet pizzas only.

So Annie's bed has moved out - to create more space for her to be wheeled in, and room to walk around etc. We're slowly (day by day) going through her things, books, papers etc and throwing things out.

Got this in the mail today - stickers from GMAIL!! A short time ago i had written in to them requesting for some stickers (it was on their blog that they were giving them away, but it was an old post but i thought i'd try my luck)

& i love the handwritten post it note (which i will forever keep haha) it just shows that they don't mass send out things by computer/machines, that they actually took time to write something!

Touch footy sucked tonight we lost 4-7 !! We didnt have many subs while the other team had plenty, we were tied at 4 all at one point, but then they just got around us so easily it was their advantage since we were all tired with not much subs and they had people coming on & off constantly.

Hard game meant rewarding dinner @ Harry's Pies @ Orange Grove yummy :)

Had high Tea with the LJ girls today, it was great to see you all again, i always look forward to our catch ups :)

I think this will be my last high tea for a while, this was my 4th time over 2 mths!!

After high tea we browsed a few shops, got some cupcakes (for Tash) and we all went our seperate ways - another catch up in 2 wks time before Lis is off to the states

I headed back out west, to see Danny & Tash (it was Tash's Bday lunch but i couldnt make it) so i came past with cupcakes, music mix cd, and a home made bday card (i rarely buy cards anymore i like to make my own with whatever i've got at home)

We stayed till about 9 just catching up, playing with their DOg Freyr & cats Jasper & ?? forgot the name.. hehe

Annie's last day at the hospital, we spent the last few days taking things home bit by bit (alot of stuff built up over the 8-9 mths its ridiculous my dad is such a hoarder haha)

Left - RIght: Eric, Eric's Mum, Alana, Alana's Mum, Annie & Dad

Eric came in at about half way through Annie's stay, & Since both my dad & his mum spoke the same language, they became friends, and since Eric & Annie spoke and saw each other almost every day.

Alana was in the bed opposite Annie, at around the same time that Annie was admitted into Westmead. Alana was hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing out the front of her school, and was in a coma for about 2 mths before awakening, not very responsive to everyone (family/doctors) was was partially disabled in a sense that she wasnt able to do anything - her body didnt respond to her brain. 

It happened slowly, but her senses came back to her, she started to get her memory back, and as you can see here - shes almost 100% recovered - such a miracle, after what she had been through.

The nurses threw a 'surprise' party for Annie, of which my dad told her about (duh, keyword=surprise!), they had cake & lollies & chips, a few photos were taken before battery died (nice one me!!)

Once Annie was home, it was kind of like a sigh of relief - not that the hospital wasnt a great place - its just travel time from our house was abit of a drive...

Spent the whole day at home as a family, had lunch & dinner together, just like old times :)

I am so so happy that Annie is finally home !!

I was up at 5.30AM this morning, Had a flex class at 6.00Am!!

Was told not to lift heavy weights if we had just gotten out of bed one hour prior to the class (me puts my hand up - yes thats me) so i was forced to do 7.5KG squats, and everything else normal (your spine is not ready for heavy weights just after waking up in the morning)

Note to self : come earlier next week to do half an hour cardio before the class

I love coming into the gym while its still dark, and walking out to be greeted by the sun. Today the sky had beautiful patterns, & luckily i had my digital camera with me :)

Monday 9th March 2009

TOuch footy tonight - HECTIC game. Non stop sprinting - every single player on the other team was FAST like lightening. They were new though, and didnt full know the rules of the game so this worked towards our advantage, and at the start i was happy to get a tie with them but we managed to win by one point ~ 9-8 ~ GO MOES TAVERN WOOT WOOT!! Tonights game was the hardest this season, we are up by 4 wins, lost only once.

My finger went in someones mouth in the game - Ew. I Also rammed with an opponent, and got smacked in the face with the ball.

Met up with Sam & Julz for dinner & Catch up, cheap (worked out to be $10 each) and local Canley Heights Pho Hien (food review? MAybe..)

Food was average nothing to rave about i had sugarcane prawn sticks with vermicelli, Rick had springrolls with vermicelli, Sam & Julz shared spring rolls & sweet & sour pork with rice (mmm, sweet & sour)

I know a place out near my house in Green valley that do a mean sweet & sour fish - must - go- back.. this weekend ?? Yay hehe

WOke up early & made breakfast, Betty's famous tuna melt squares! Annie & my mom love these, so quickly made that, & got ready to drive to the station & train it into the city to meet Wensy for high tea & shopping :)

High tea @ the tea room in QVB, this place is the real high tea deal, its fairly quiet, you can hear one another talking, very spacious (the victoria room in darlinghurst is very squashy, little space between tables, & very very loud and noisy).



We tried a russian tea which smelt like weed and tobacco (we should have guessed this from the 'russian' in the name), & also had english breakfast tea (my favourite).

Off to Pitt Street Mall & Myers afterwards for some inflationary shopping ! (haha ants =P)

I managed to find a pair of gladiator shoes from ZU for $50! Bargain! Very lucky that i put down the $140 pair from WANTED. Got some stationary from kikki-k <3,>

Saturday 7th March 2009

Went for a bike ride this morning with Rick :) Bike riding, is so relaxing, & fun, and a great work out !!

We rode around the area for 2 hours, found our way to a garage sale where i picked up two vintage purse bags for $20! One is gold the other is black, very retro & cool.

Spent the rest of the day at my uncles house with the whole family (inc Annie!), we ate bbq food (i stuck to the salads), played wii, mucked around in the park, Me & Rick stayed for dinner (left over BBq food) & then made pancakes!

I really want a wii, and also wii FIT - its an awesome game i actually broke out a sweat three times haha - its cheaper then a gym membership!!

Its tricky cooking with minors they are very messy, tend to lean in close to the hot pan while i'm trying to cook, have no sense of measurements (Beatrice put in a huge blob of butter into the pan prior to cooking - no good). But after a few false starts & attempts, we finally got it going, and ended up happy pancake eaters :) & Richard made 'scrambled pancake'

This week was hectic at work - we had a warehouse stock take. Physical checking & counting of stock. We have Over 1500 reels of wire in our stock!!

So glad its Friday :):)

Went for a 50 minute jog with my hunni on the bus way in my area. (i had also woken up early today to jog around the block 15 minutes)

Had an early night, Well, early for Rick, i'm still up at 11.45pM!! We're going for a bike ride tomorrow morning yay!

Rick got me some cupcakes while in the city visiting clients today :) They are from "baby reneee's", and they are the tiniest cupcakes, so moist, delicate, with correct proportion topping to cake!

We went rock climbing tonight, just with Pete. We ordered our new harnesses (and also tried them on my GOSH they are so comfy!!)

Attempted quite a few climbs today, my arms will be sore tomorrow! Made friends with these two girls who are weekly climbers, Tina & .. ??? Forgot now! But we saw them when we were here two weeks ago. We're deciding on not to buy shoes, the hire is just $4, and the harnesses sooooo comfy, compared to the standard rent out ones. It should be available in a few days, cant wait !!

Bought some multi grain Tortilla's this week (Trangs food idea). 6 slices in a pack so i had:

2 pieces with Tuna, avocado, Lettuce

2 pieces with TUna & lettuce

and these two pieces, banana & peanut butter, then whacked into the microwave (nothing beats melted peanut butter, i'd have it no other way!!) & there goes the last of my jar of crunchy peanut butter.

Touch footy tonight was a late game 8pm. We tied! It was a mega hard game, but atleast we had Subs this time!! I was feeling abit crook, so took Ann & Rick's advice, went home afterwards (instead of gymming). Had a quick shower, jumped into my cosey bed, and finished off the rest of 'Candy'.

I love the feeling of when you're in bed at night, reading to wind down, geting sleepy, eyes falling shut. Stumbling to find my bookmark (which disappeared somewhere between my blankets..), reaching over to turn off the light, and ZZzZzZzzz...

Cooked hunni a simple, filling & nutritious breakfast consisting of Mushrooms sauted in worstershire sauce, two eggs sunny side up, grilled tomatos, & toast :)

Had my uncles family over, had lunch together (fresh rice paper rolls with stir fried onions, fresh prawns, & salads)

Headed out for some tennis with Sam & Julz, met up at a free court at Canley (which were all taken) so wen went for two rounds of AMF bowling instead. I won first round, Rick won second, havent bowled in ages so it was fun! I found the trick for me is - use a heavy ball, that way it doesnt go in the gutter so easily!!

Had dinner @ Rashays afterwards. Canneloni & seafood platter, yummy yummy :D I want to make some canneloni!! Last time we attempted, we didnt use enough sauce, so bits of the top were.. crunchy undercooked pasta haha (but dont get me wrong, it was still yummilicious!)

Annie's bed, and hoist equipment got delivered to our house today. She will be sleeping at home this Saturday night! & Returning on Sunday evening. They are practising her, so that she will be able to sleep at home for good in 3 weeks time (not forever, but for atleast 2-3 mths)

The hoist thing, is used for the net that goes under neath Annie, and there are clippy things, and the hoist thing will lift her up and onto her wheel chair, and back on to her bed from the wheel chair (instead of me, dad & mum doing it manually with our hands)

I'm not good at explaining haha.. the thing, then the thing.. lol. I'll take photos next time, so you all know what i'm talking about !!

I'm very excited to have Annie come home, for my dad to be home again, for everyone to be home again because its been such a long time

Me & My non-alcoholic bier ^.^

We were invited to a last minute-organised secret meet up for food bloggers in Syd Tonight, @ LowenBrau at the Rocks. THere was only one vegetarian meal on the menu so i was stuck with this cheesy macaroni stuf LOL that i couldnt finish it was just.. too cheesy!!

It was fun to talk to other food bloggers, and to take pictures !! Haha it was sooo funny. As soon as our food came out, everyone just got up out of their chairs to walk around and snap snap up fotos of eachothers food - but Rick ? Was so hungry he started eating haha while we were all flashing and snapping away

One of the bloggers said 'it feels so good to be able to take photos, without feeling embarrassed'  - - - i'm NEVER embarassed to take photos of my food!!! 

We ended the night with a sweet treat @ Guylian Cafe - this was not all it was hyped up to be i LOVE lindt cafe so much more (although i like the fact that Guylian let us take photos!!)

A vegie burger from down the road. i hardly ever order lunch, but today - i just didnt feel like eating what my mom packed me (yes, my mom packs my lunch sometimes haha) it was some vegetarian thing she got from the shop that didnt smell nice.. ew

this burger though, was so so nice ..!! (and so many calories i feel so bad)
