Dad got some raw macadamias from a friend's garden - so we were out in the backyard, with hammers trying to crack them open. It's impossible to get the shell separate from the actual nut - i managed to try some raw macadamia - it is sooo nice (even though i only got a tiny little piece to eat)

The way to get them ready to eat properly - is to dry them out for several weeks, then to slowly cook them... basically we need some kind of factory or some sort ?? haha dunno what we'll do with the rest of them!!

my sister grows maca'a on a farm up north (northern NSW) but i don't have a clue how to prepare them to eat- the oil is great for your skin & eating them like nuts is great!!

mmm it tasted a little like the coconut meat. Although not as soft :)
