9 of us chicky babes got together this afternoon for High Tea @ The Victoria Room. We were lucky to get a secluded corner away from the hustle bustle & chit chatter from the rest of the people in the room, where we could actually hear our conversations, and had our own privacy!!
The food was not as nice as the Tea Room @ QVB, and the service wasnt that great (we had a dipsy waitress take half our teas away when we werent even done yet). There wasnt much variety, but our waiter was cute, we all got along well & we enjoyed our lazy Sunday afternoon sipping tea :)
I had specified vegetarian platter for myself and was impressed when they came out with it for me first before serving anything else! Also we were one girl short but they didnt charge us for this (on the booking form, any cancellations made within 24 hrs would be charged)
Alicia & Cheeky headed home after so the rest of us went to the Gazebo bar for drinks & chatter. Again, we were lucky enough to score a nice corner, with lots of room, on a retro cool red couch!
Oh, i saw this guy washing his hair in the fountain. & another guy skipping rope next to the fountain, and sipping his 'mother' energy drink
haha :D
Had an AWESOME afternoon with you gals, and looking forward to our girls night out in April !!!!

We went bike riding with Sam & Julie this morning, around Homebush Bay BiCentennial parklands. Rode for about an hour and a half (half that time was spent stopping to take photo's haha) & it started raining!! Took our time getting back to the car, got slightly wet, & headed off to Rhodes for Lunch.
We were happily eating & snapping away at Tomodachi (japanese sushi train/restaurant) then one of the workers came up to me and told me no photo's allowed. What the hell????! Anyways, no food review for them..!! The food wasnt that nice anyway..
Spent the rest of the day hanging out with Annie, (she eats alot more, but real real slowly. It took her like 2.5 hours to finish a happy meal..!!)
Got ready for Dinner with friends @ Shangri-La hotel. Jeremy organised this (thanks again jeremy!) he had 2-for-1 vouchers so it cost $45 per person for a yummy SEADFOOD buffet!!

Went to dinner with Sam & Julie tonight, @ Dolcissimo @ Haberfield (apparently italian restaurants here are more authentic then Leidchardt)
We had two pizza's, a pasta, & tiramisu & strawberries and cream for desert it was so yummy (i am totally working out at the gym tomorrow!!)
Afterwards we went to a overhead bridge on parramatta road to attempt taking light trail photo's - this was my favourite one because it had the most even-ness of white and red on each side

Leona suggested to me to try doing a bokeh shot tonight - how does it looK?
Me, Rick & Pete had dinner at the Bavarian Bier Cafe in Parramatta tonight, this place is really good value for money, and really filling & yummy too. All the waitresses have their shirts unbuttoned all the way down, and they serve different types of beers
Before dinner we were at Auburn Megacentre checking out rock climbing gear at Anaconda. its so expensive !! it'll be atleast $300 for a harness and shoes.... so we're gonna look around on the net instead. Just thinking.. is it worth the investment???
Also, after work i quickly wrote up 5 postcards for 5 new postcrossing buddies, love it !! I love love love receiving and sending things in the mail.
Got this from one of them :
A Postcard: 10 cents
The Stamp: 27 cents
Quick walk to the post office: 2 min
Those few moments of excitement when you open your mailbox: Priceless!

Instead of tennis tonight, we went rock climbing instead at The Pitch in Wetherill Park. $20 gives you unlimited play time, including a harness, shoes & chalk. We're gonna buy our own gear (should cost most then $200,) and get a ten pass which works out to $11 per visit.
Rock climbing is an all over body work out, (see my deltoids!!??) i'm definately going to be sore tomorrow, as while driving home my arms were already feeling like metal & i was exhausted.
It was Pete's first time, & he did pretty well. Realization for him tonight was - to work out more and lose weight so its easier to climb up.
The wall that i'm climbing here, requires you to climb almost horizontally and then up around the curve - this requires upper body strength, and i think i made it all the way up (i did too many hard ones, only one or two i had made it up all the way)

We are definately making this a regular thing, alternating with tennis, woohoo!

Annie slept the whole entire time that i was in the hospital tonight (and apparently slept all through the night without eating dinner). I hope she's just extra tired, and nothing else.
She won a competition today, and gave me the prize ~ a lizzy mCguire t-shirt (i love lizzy mcGuire!!)
So i spent tonight reading, a book i started reading a long time ago and never picked it up again due to lack of time (and also starting to read another book altogether.. haha so bad)
I got probably half way through the book because it was so good. 10 million times better then the movie (which stars heath ledger)
Like Trainspotting, Candy depicts heroin addicts in a British subculture, but it is set in Australia, not Scotland. "Candy" is the slang name of the unnamed narrator's two great loves: his girlfriend and heroin. He introduces her to the drug, and they descend from being high on life, love, and drugs, to being shamed through prostitution, crime, addiction, and recovery. With no character background, the book reads as a string of scams to score money and heroin: some hilarious, some desperate, and some both at once. One scam starts when they answer a ringing public phone that the caller mistakenly believes is a suicide prevention line. Candy and the narrator are ruthless but human; their likableness and the immediacy of their dramas make them sympathetic even when pathetic. The writing is lean and strong but offers no resolution. Although that reflects junkies' reality, sometimes the pacing is jarring as the characters take action long after the audience is ready. Still, the good writing, realistic portrayal, and affable characters plunge readers into the junkies' world, safely returning them with veins intact.

It's a sad day today, Lis has gone on hiatus :(. So a picture tribute to her, i will miss her photo's!!
It was also sad weather wise today - rained on & off all day - FOOTY was cancelled boo hoo i was looking forward to playing (and wearing my new shorts & footy socks)
So instead i went to the gym for a flex session - upped my weights .. it was so hard! i'm expecting major soreness tomorrow. Did some intense running afterwards (thanks for letting me use your towel jeremy), then headed off to meet my cousin for a catch up session @ Santos. Had a tuna & avocado salad (i didnt want to ruin my work out with cakes & coffee!!)
Skyped with Rick when i got home for a bit (we went through the music quiz with his ITUNES playlist) haha his one turned out pretty funny too ~

Sunday 15th February 2009
Had a relaxing day today since i was so tired (a restless night, had to constantly wake up to check on Annie)...
Continued watching True Blood with Rick, pretty much lazed around till we got hungry so went back to my area to have scones with jam & cream! & i picked up two books I've ordered from Angus & Robertson's, bought some salmon for dinner, then back to my place and kept watching the series.
Didn't realise the time it was 8pm and we hadnt had dinner yet haha. So cooked up some salmon & avocado pasta, this was really really nice ( go me hehe)
Took Rick home, then cuddled up in my warm blankets and a book, read till about 11.30 and then conked out.
Saturday 14th February 2009
Spent the day &night with Annie (slept in the hospital with her). What did we do.. we went to the starlight room and sung and danced, we ate junk food, we browsed through the shop up stairs and bought hairclips, head bands & stamps.
She said she had heaps of fun :)
We watched saturday night movie 'Mean Girls', and had an early night ( she didnt nap all day so fell asleep quite easily)
Friday 13th February 2009
Got my Valentines Card from the boyfriend tonight :):)
I'm disappointed that you didnt follow in tradition with a forever bears card !! hehe
We spent the night watching 'trueblood' a new series on foxtel that he downloaded - we went through 3 episodes - we're hooked!! Anna Paquinn from X-MEN is the main character, she can hear peoples thoughts (born that way) and she meets a vampire and ... i won't spoil it for anyone hehe
When i got home i stayed up making a Valentines day card for Annie, i'll be spending tomorrow with her!!
Thursday 12th February 2009
Annie made me this in crafts
We've just found out that her school (Bossley Park) will be funding for Annie a new full-time carer, a laptop, & transportation to and from school from home.
She won't be having chemo for a couple of months, because her body has run out of white blood cells and stem cells, so they will be focusing on physio-therapy for her body.
She doesnt seem too keen on going back to school...

We celebrated Valentines Day early today - a month ago i told Rick to put in advanced leave for today - and told him it was going to be a surprise. So i've been looking things up, changing things around, back up plans just incase it was bad weather (it ended up a cold & wet day).
We started off with a cheap breakfast of YUM-Cha, then a one hour long massage at our favourite thai massage place. It felt sooo good, i had so many knots and stress points in my shoulders & upper back (i assume its from all the working out + rock climbing)
Headed off to Burwood to catch 'the yes man'. This movie was hilarious, not the typical jim carrey comedy acting, he is really aged now so many lines & wrinkles on his face. The main girl character in the movie carries around a fuji instant camera (the one on anita's blog) everywhere she goes its so cute! Apparently you cant get one in Australia... i want one!!
We headed to the city for a late lunch @ The Tea Room in QVB - this was a delightful experience, our first time @ high tea, it was very filling & yummy - definately going back again!!
We shopped around after that, i bought a purple adidas candy watch, footy shorts & socks.
Dinner time came too early (we were still semi full from high tea, we had that at 4 lol) so we took our time getting to surry hills Jazushi (yes the place was so good that i booked another session with a speecial valentines menu).
Dinner was served over 3 hours (we didnt mind because we weren't that hungry and it gave us time to chat).
What a long & fun day i was exhausted almost fell asleep in the car (wait, i think i did)

My new footy shoes i got on the weeekend - can't wait to try them out! Hopefully no more slipping & sliding, and i'll be able to out run the other team dodge touches and .. SCORE!!
Rick said i should wear them in before i wear em for a game.. but i didnt have any time on the weekend (also i didnt want to run around in the blistering sun) so i'll bring my normal joggers just incase i get blisters ( i hope i dont)
Sunday 8th Febrary 2009
Annie was extremely touched when i presented her with this collage (to go up on her hospital room wall). Although, she doesnt know there is another two more coming :) She spent the day at home with me while my parents went grocery shopping, singing, making a card for her bestfriend, eating my yummy chicken lettuce & mayo toasted sandwich, and then her friend Natasha came over. I woke up early to go to the gym, did running, rowing & cross trainer, didnt have too much energy so i left after 40 minutes. Headed to The local shopping centre, ordered two books from Dymocks, bought some things for Annie from Woolies, then headed home to see Annie. Oh i found a long beach white sarong/skirt thing that i can wear out, it was @ target, on sale for $15! I hate being limited to wearing only black shorts, i need more clothes..!
Went rock climbing with Rick at around 4 (it was so damn hot, its like climbing in a sauna after each climb we'd have to take a water break). It's like a whole body work out Rick said he could see my shoulder & Back muscles working out i was pretty much using my arms to get up instead of my legs pushing up (i want ripped arms like Ciara in like a boy music clip)
After rock climbing we had a nasty meal of pizza, kebab & hot chips (covered with hommos & bbq sauce yummo), then went for a bike ride to Fairfield City farm to catch the sun set. To get to this spot you have to ride up and down two massive hills we were rushing like mad cos we thought we were late our legs were completely dead from cycle the morning before & the marathon and pretty much all the active things we had already done on the weekend
On the way home, saw this LOL. "JEREMY IS EMO"
Saturday 7th February 2009
Started off the day with a 3 hour marathon at the gym (this time Rick joined me). It was a killer 3 hours, last night's pasta still in our small intestines giving us plenty of energy. Afterwards we had time to go shops so we ducked off to livo (still sweaty from our workout) and i bought new footy shoes, & we had a subway wrap for lunch (wrap is so much better then the bread sub, its neater and more filling then a 6 inch sub, 12 inch sub is way too much..!)
I spent the rest of the afternoon with Annie, Mom & Dad while Rick went home to do his chores. We watched my cousins' wedding video (she lives in Vietnam) & pigged out on maltesers :)
Annie's friends came over around 4pm, so i went to pick up Rick, got some Salad mix from coles, & came home made a quick & yummy dinner of salad leaves, caesar salad dressing, tuna, avocado & soft boiled eggs. i LOVE my eggs soft boiled i ove sucking out the runny yolk.
At night we went to Penrith Panthers for Aqua Golf (which i thought was aqua putt put, so disappointed..) i can't hit golf ball properly :( so i left Rick to it, and sat down with Anne to catch up.
Afterwards we went to KrispyKreme, shared a donut & a caramel thickshake :)
I really want to go to putt putt golf now, does anyone know a place in Syd?

Our first footy game of the season, my two friends Trang & Ann will be replacing Alicia & Nhuy this time around (thats me with the ball!)
After the 1st half we were down 4 tries (score was 5-1), i thought it was because we'd been off for about 2 mths, and were abit rusty!
But half way throught the 2nd half we were tieing, and by the end - WE WON!! 11-8!! We smashed them badly!!
It was a great game, Ann rocked up late (booooooo hehe) & Trang was watching from the sidelines, being the first game i think she felt abit scared :) Exactly how i felt at my first game last season, and now i feel like a PRO (haha nah not a pro, i did a few bloopers on the field)
I scored a try but it didnt count (or did it?) apparently the pass before me was cancelled because my team mate was touched *shrugsss* but i did a massive slide and touch down how mad if the try was counted !!
Rick was photographer, piccies are here
Afterwards, me & Ann headed to the gym for a cycle class - my thighs were wrecked! Not so much from touch footy, but from the 3 hour marathon we did on Saturday blehhh
Duy you are a true cheer leader (yelling out go betty from the sidelines haha) =)
Sunday 1st February 2009
Me Rick Anita & Jeremy went to the pools this morning (early, so we didnt fry like eggs haha)
Me & Ants brought our water camera's!! took heaps of fun & stupid shots haha i cant wait to see how they turn out :):)
As hot food is always the best after swimming, we went for some fish & chips at a local tuck shop. Major pigging out there.. so bad!!
We spent the rest of the day @ home with Annie, watching the tennis, blowing bubbles outside, my mom made us all vietnamese pancakes they were so yummy (click here for a picture & recipe)
I spent the night with Rick. We went for a walk to the local shops to get some cool drinks (his house only has so good & water eww), then we watched 'Queen of the damned'.
I've gotten some of my favourite photo's developed, using them for my postcrossing hobby (i dont really want to spend $1 on postcards, these printed out at 19cents each!)
Saturday 31st January 2009
Rick surprised me by catching a train & bus over to my house (in the sweltering 30+heat ..!) Don't do that again babe..!!
He also came with some polaroid 600 film!! YAYNESS!! We tested it on the older polaroid, turned out perfectly I LOVE IT!
With Annie at home, we just bummed around, looking through junk mail (shop catalogues, Annie's Favourite). Rick made her a noodle pancake (that was so nice hun!) & we watched some of the O.C, then Annie fell asleep haha typical!
We met up with our Friend Chris and his two mate's, for a farewell dinner. He's leaving for AFRICA on Wednesday, staying there for 6 weeks. We had dinner @ Jazushi in Surry hills, then went over to the Clock for more drinks.
Funniest moment of the night - Chris being abit tipsy, had a sip of water - AND MISSED HIS MOUTH LOLOL
I took another polaroid @ Dinner (i will only be using this baby on special occassions, mainly because film is so damn expensive hehe ($30 for 10 prints). For some reason the camera spat out 3 bad photos..!!! WASTED!! & the 4th one came out okay. Rick said it could be the rollers were old... So i'm gonna test my second film pack on the newer polaroid, and decide which one to keep (or keep both!! hehe)

Spent the night with Annie, watching a few movies
I got back late, just after midnight, and thought i'd get some reading done. I've started reading this book earlier this week - I LOVE IT so far. Here's an overview
