Tuesday 30th December 2008

Today was a scorcher!! Summer is finally here hehe. I drove up to North Sydney to have lunch with Rick, I packed a picnic with crackers, cheese, tuna sandwiches, ribena, chocolate, and pringles :)

We walked around the Park next to Luna Park, taking heaps of foto's, enjoying the weather, i had so much fun hun!

He only had an hour and abit for lunch, so i met Anita in the city and we walked around, had frozen coke, icecream, and sat around darling harbour chatting & catching up, it's been a while since we've done that !! I enjoyed your company :)

Me, RIck & Anita went home togeva, had more frozen coke, and then me & Rick went to meet our friends at Parra, we had lebenese food - it was so good!!!! Food review coming up real soon !!

I went to watch "the curious case of benjamin button' today with Ann my gym buddy. It was SUCH a good movie, it was like 2 hours & 45 minutes long...!!!

The best movie i've seen in a long long time. There are not many good movies out lately, i've been downloading older movies to watch

I organised a bushwalk @ Wetworth Falls today. Me, Rick, Anne, Wade, Jeremy, Vuthy, Chris & Will. It was a 5-6 hour route that took us 4 hours!!! I stacked it once, damn moss on rocks.

It was so much fun!! I want to do the Katoomba walk next time, and the coogee to Bondi coastal walk aswell

Me & Rick woke up early AGAIN, to go rollerblading hehe, we hadnt rollerbladed on the t-way for a long time, the paths are really smooth, and most of it is flat (no incline, easy hehe)

We went to eat gozleme at Fairfield Markets afterwards, and i bought these two cute dolls! I'm going to take them wherever i go, on little adventures, the first adventure was hanging out with Annie at the hospital :)

Haha, they are sooo cute! We named them Rose, and i duno, whats the boys name???

That's a wet cloth on Annie's forehead, she's been feeling very hot (38-39 degrees!!) constantly wanting the fan on, and the door open, and her wet cloth constantly changed

She's got a laptop to use that the hospital lent to her, so we were going through some funny websites

Boxing day - the day you're supposed to open up your presents. I opened mine yesterday!! I got heaps of goodies :):) 

Anita thank you for the Burt's Bee's Pack! I've already used the soy & beeswax calming candle, and the pomegranate lipbalm

Jeremy thank you for the tennis sweat bands, i should be starting tennis again in the new year :)

Jenny, thank you for the pretty cupcake book!! & the Lindt Chocs, im hoping to make sum cupcakes very soon i havent made any for a really long time

Tom, the canvas painting is beautiful!!

I got a few other things but failing to remember right now, they are spread across my room somewhere (my room is so messy right now)

This morning, we went for another bike ride, on the t way!! PIcked up so much speed on the downhills it was so much fun

Afterwards headed to Richard's COusin's house for a seafood party, i only stayed for a few hours then headed to the hospital to hang out with Annie

There was sooooo much food, oysters, sashimi, cheese crackers, heaps of food apparently there were heaps of leftovers

Merry Christmas everyone :)

My whole family (including Annie!!) went to my uncles place for a BBQ. Annie had a day pass to go out for a couple of hours, she was real tired though, ended up falling asleep on her chair while we watch 'Spirited Away'

It was great to all be together, I brought my artbox along so my cousins were happily going through things, and painting & drawing

In the morning i got Rick outta bed @ 6am =P and we went bike riding around Fairfield City Farm. I love cruising around the neighbourhood, its good exercise and you see more things then if you were in a car.

Afterwards, we ruined our workout with some mi goreng & fried egg *YUM!!*

It feels GREAT not having to go to work !! I have, one week and one day off booo, but this is better then nothing - last year i only had public holidays off which suxed!!

I met up with Rick, Wade, Anne, Anita & Rob for dinner @ the Little Snail (Rick's suggestion). We had been there... twice a really long time ago, its a three course meal for $55, it wasnt that great i duno i remember it being sooo so good, but tonight the food was average. Wade wasnt even full he needed a kebab afterwards lol

I've been invited to a flickr group today! 'Rongeela - the world of photography' yay!

I left work early today (last day of work for this year yiippee!!), & while i was charging my ipod i quickly ducked out the back to snap up some photo's. This is the photo that i've posted in the new group i entered on flickr. I think it's the sunshine makin the photo look hazey, i dunoo but i love how it turned out !!

I hit the gym for a quick running session, felt sooo  good i hadnt done any exercise since.. last tuesday! the bike ride! Afterwards headed to the hospital to take care of Annie. Her last chemo session has left her with mouth ulcers, and a bad cough, and her temperature is really high (it reached 39 today, its usually sits at about 37.5)

So we've got a mini fan blowing on her face constantly to keep her cool, and a cool cloth lying across her forehead. She wanted to watch a scary movie, so we watched 'shutter'. I'm such a chicken, i hate scary movies but.. I'll do whatever Annie wants to do haha it was a pretty freaky movie, check it out here

It's pretty much another japanesey based scary movie, like the ring, or the eye .... *im scared*

As per Annie's request, i am downloading Saw 1, 2, 3 & 4 for her, and most likely she will pick on me again and make me watch them with her!!

Me & Rick went rollerblading at IronCove tonight, had so much fun hun *hugs*

We bladed for about a hour, in between also sat by the water and chatted about our life, our future :)

Spent the day with Annie today, my uncle & his family came to visit as well, so we took Annie outside for sum fresh air. She enjoyed it so much <3 Thats my dad's younger brother, so this is like our closest family

She's only got a few strands of hair left on her head, she's still got most of her eyelashes, and her eyebrow hair is still there well some of it.

We went through the chinese gardens, then out into the main playground, we sat her in the shade (her skin is very sensitive to the sun), and we also went to visit Eric - another asian boy in the same ward who is going through radiation & chemo. His mom showed us his rugby team photo's, and boy he looks SOOO different. Actually i remember the first time we saw him, he was pushed past Annie on his wheelchair, and Annie got shy cos she thought he was cute haha

He's also bedridden i think, and because of the steroids his face and plumped up, and he's also gained alot of weight (because unlike Annie he can still eat like normal)

They have both spoken to eachother a few times, and his mom & my dad also talk daily since they both stay in the same ward.

My parents and uncle's family left at about 3, so i stayed with Annie for the rest of the day and until late night. We watched Herbie Fully Loaded, and a scry movie THE EYE - i HATE scary movies but Annie insisted we watch it (she likes watching me squirm and scream haha)

Also, one of the nurses did something with her meds, so she can easily take her meds!!! Instead of using a whole mini cup of icecream, she got out a spoon of it, and mixed it with all the medicine powder, so really all Annie had to eat was a spoon of icecream, instead of a whole cup (which takes an hour), this took less then 2 minutes!

Tonight was Ann's Birthday in the city, in the photo its Natalie, Ann, Salim, Me & Jenna. I met Ann at the gym we did boxing & flex together, i've made a few great friends from the gym!! <3

We started off with drinks @ Bar333 (since the Ivy wasn't open till 6pm), then headed over to the Steel Bar & Grill For dinner. This place is the posh, but the service & food was excellent!! Me & Rick will work on the food review sometime this week :)

After Dinner & Desert, we went to the Shang Gri La Blue Horizon Bar for cocktails. $20 cocktails!! But they were really nice!!

It was a great night out, thanks Ann for inviting us, bringing together random friends who have never met, and turning it into a fun social get together :) On the way home i fell sleep i was sooooo tired!! (this was at.. midnight haha)

Me, Bday girl Alicia, Anne, Jenny

Jenny (another Jenny, Alicia's Bestie) organised a surprise party for Alicia's 25th tonight, held at Roofbar. She was SOOOOOOOO shocked when she walked in & saw us all, i think she was about to cry haha (i would've definately balled my eyes out if iw ere her!!)

We had drinks and caught up, bumped into a few friends who also happened to be there on the night, what a small world hehe

Alicia is a beautiful person inside & out, i'm so honoured to have her as a friend!!!!

Isnt this adorable?!?! One of the teachers at the hospital made it for Annie. They are constantly bringing things in, lately its candy canes, stuffed toys, a laptop for Annie to use, they made a slideshow with Annie's formal foto's, she is so loved by everyone in the hospital!!

I spent a few hours with Annie after work, while my parents went home to chill. Im not sure if i've mentioned this but Annie no longer has a tube through her nose down to her stomach, so she's drinking protein milk and vitamin enriched juices, and taking her meds orally.

But, since she started up a dose of chemo earlier this week, she's gotten mouth ulcers again so its hard for her to swallow tablets and it hurts.. so we get the tablets crushed (there's about 10 that she has to take each night) , they get crushed up into a poweder, and i mix it with icecream and she takes it like that, very slowly, it took us an hour tonight for her to finish it all. I tried abit, the icecream does help alot, but it just doesnt taste that great =/

She is doing SO SO well, considering what shes been through shes still able to smile, talk and laugh, and she hardly ever complains.

I took the day off today, and took my sister shopping @ Castle Hill Towers. I've heard of Kikki-K before but had never been in the shop before - I LOVE MY STATIONARY!! I spent like $100 on things i didnt even need gosh >.<

I got, a friendship book, a wooden alphabet stamping kit, a pack of 20 postcards, a letter set, a book mark, and my sister got a diary - THE DIARY IS SO COOL!! i am SO getting it for 2010 lol

I didn't buy much else (well i did, but i can't say, becos Rick cant know what i got him till 01/01/2009 =P)

Im teaching him a lesson for opening up xmas gifts early (he opened up a gift he got from a work collegue, the day after he got it.. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO WAIT TILL BOXING DAY/XMAS!!!!)

Anyway i got him sum things, put them in a box, he cannot touch it or open it until the 1st of 2009 hee hee

I met up with Trang for dinner, kind of a belated birthday dinner and desert, and a catch up over icecream & waffles *yum* it was great catching up, and sad to know that your man didnt get you anything for your special day!! :(

I had dropped my mom off earlier at the hospital, but i was sooo tired, Rick offered to take her home for me, which was really sweet cos then after i dropped Trang off, i bummed around at home, doing NOTHING, which felt GREAT because i never have spare time to do that !! Thank you hun *mwaa

I woke up real early this morning to bike ride with Brandon @ 6am. We rode around Fairfield City Farm, there are paths (steep up & down hills), it was a KILLER work out, my thighs were burrrning since i had footy and treadmill running the previous night)

It was an AWESOME bike ride, i want to come back with my camera!! And there is also a nice spot for sunrise & sun sets yay!! We rode for about 1.5 hrs then i headed home and went to work.

Gippsland direct - the company we use for local freight - Damien came past and gave us some gifts! I got my own lil gift, and for the rest of us we got this hamper & wines to share around, this was really sweet of them, we've given them alot of freight business this year and watched them grow, they truly are great to work with!!

Ahhh Monday >.<

Lately i've been sooo sleep deprived, plus cramming as much as i can in on the weekends, since i have absolutely NO time during the week, losing sleep, being stressed, coming into work on Mondays are absolutely horrible!!

It was such a busy day, i left work late and was rushed to footy i fergot my camera!! It was grand finals for touch footy tonight and WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 11-8 !!!!!!!!!! WOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE only made it to the grandfinal due to a knockout (dont ask how lol).

The team we played, was a team that beat us real badly a couple weeks ago, we came 2nd in the 3rd divisions (there are only 3 teams in the 3rd division, technically making us 2nd last hahah) but our team won $700!!!!! Which after, being split, is about $30-$40 each person lols

Anyway, this flower i took in the morning before work, very pretty... & boring haha so sorry i didnt have a more interesting foto!!

Me & Rick spent the day together today!! We headed to Bondi Junction to eat at Macro (a cafe that sells organic foods only, and also caters for vegetarians and vegans) but sadly they no longer served breakkie (and nothing else looked appetising) so we wandered around and ate at another cafe (we've done a food review for this)

Afterwards we browsed Westfields for abit, then headed over to the beach! I had my rags so i couldnt swim, instead we walked around taking pictures, this would be my fav pic of the day - look !! haha a chalkboard painted car, so unique!!!

It was soooo hot today!! After spending a few hours with Annie, i went over to Rick's house for his family bbq. They had special vegetarian sausages for me, and there were prawns and oysters *yum

I quickly snapped up a pic of their whole family (a rareity indeedy) as Thomas usually grabs food and goes back to his room lol

It was a great idea hun to get your family together like this, you are such an amazing person :)

Me, Leesha & Nhuy had a girls night in tonight, our last one before Nhuy goes overseas for 2 mths!! We'll miss you babes *hugs*

We had our usual 'salad' for dinner, haha followed by Sex in the city episodes, but no choccies & strawberries this time cos we were all too full and bloated bleh*

I Loved hanging out wit u chics laughing & gossiping, and also met Nhuy's overseas lover on webcam!! haha :)

This is her aromatherapy oils collection, we tried 'aphrodisiac' lols. I would love to have an oil burner in my room!! My parents are against it, they think i'll burn the house down =/

i saw these babies @ HYPE a couple of weeks ago in the window, finally decided to buy them tonight! Quickly bought them, walked Linda to work (she works at David Jones), and quickly went to the hospital.

Annie looks better these days, maybe because she hasn't had any chemo for a couple of weeks (they wanted her to be well enough to go to her formal). She's starting a series of chemo treatment today, it will go on until Monday/Tuesday..

Vega 95.3FM were playing downstairs live, Annie went down to have a look earlier today and they gave her a teddy. She said "you know how you feel sorry for people who are in a wheelchair and look really sick, well they gave me a teddybear" ..

She had some drowsy meds tonight so she wasnt 100% up, she was dozing in and out off sleep, lots of sleep talking about food hehe

Children who get centrelink money, are getting $1000 from the government..!!(or something like that). My sister got hers today, she went shopping lol

Me, Rick. Anne & Wade met up for dinner tonight, i wanted to try the new sushi train @ Parramatta (close to the station, under the escalators that go up to Hoyts)

Wade's first time eating Japanese, and we plan to take him to other different places too (he's only had aussie & italian food, and thai ? lol)

Afterwards we had desert @ Max Brennars, another 1st time thing for Wade (this guy leads a sheltered life heeeheee). We had suckao's (we melt choc chip bits in milk to create our own hot chocolate)

I had to leave shortly after because i was meeting some friends for a coffee in Canley Heights. My friend is leaving next Sunday she's going to Europe by her self for 2 mths! She's hoping to find a 'the one' while she's overseas lol

She said she went to a tarot reader, and they told her she will have two men in her life. One has a bad temper, and the other one's mom will really like her *shrugss*

She's with a guy now that has a bad temper, they've been together for 2plus years, but the relationship isnt going anywhere.

I'm scared to see a tarot reader, whats the fun of having someone tell you what will happen in your life. Wouldn't you rather be surprised?? And if someone tells you blah blah, then you'll keep thinking that after you leave, and that could affect decisions that you make, there fore changing your future anyway...

And also its like starsigns, the things they tell you in your starsign, can apply to almost anybody who reads it. Eg, you will make a big decision this month - anyone can make a decision this month biig or small it could be small to someone else but big too you. Etc etc..

Anyway we had stickydate pudding, and bruscetta, average tasting nothing to special, there wasn't enough toffee sauce on the sticky date pudding!! The best sticky date pudding i've ever had was at.. Nick's Seafood, with Anita :) Rememeber Antsie Poo????

IT WAS A GREAT NIGHT i havent seen Annie smile so big in a REALLY long time!!

As i wheeled Annie into the hall, all her classmates CHEERED SOOOO loudly for her, it was an emotional walk to her table i was so overwhelmed by the cheers

I ate dinner before hand because i knew Annie couldnt eat yet, so i took care of her while people around ate dinner (it didnt look too nice anyway!)

Lots of students came to take pictures with Annie i took wayyy too many photo's i should be getting my camera back on the weekend i shall upload them all and post the link for you guys to see :)!!

Annie got presented her school certificate (even though she didnt sit the exams the board of studies made a special exception and gave it to her based on her school grades which were excellent anyway)

& she got presented a "Superwoman" award, for being brave.

Such an emotional night, for us..

i Spent the day with Annie today - look at the cute tortoise she made in class this week!! ITS SOO CUTE!! It's made out of clay - SHE MADE IT HERSELF!!

Me & Rick took her out in her wheelchair today, took her outside for some fresh air (she hadnt been outside all week)

She asked me & Ric to fool around on the kiddies playset LOL imagine two grown adults on the slippery dip.

It got too sunny (and it also sprinkled) so we went back inside, and found this other place called 'the chinese gardens'. There was a mini waterfall, a fish pond, lots of tree's for shade, bamboo, and seats. We sat around & relaxed for about 20 minutes and then headed back because Annie was tired.

I hope she enjoyed the day, i already miss her. I think of how things used to be before she got sick and i get really upset that things have turned out the way they have..

I dont think i've mentioned this but what she has is primitive neuroectodermal tumour, medulla blastoma is the specific type of the tumour.

Why has this happened to her :(

A candy raver (sometimes "kandy raver", "kandi raver", "Candee Child", "candykid", or "kandi kid") is a rave attendee who exchanges or shares small gifts, primarily beads, necklaces, bracelets, or stickers.

Me, Anne, Rick, Pete & Wade went to a rave called UNITY tonight. The music was sooo good, i have NOT HEARD happy hardcore THIS GOOD in such a long time!!

The night ended early we left at about 1.30am, we were all buggered! We used to be able to party till 7am!!!

Tonight was a charity dinner event SUN-KISSED, raising money for the cancer institute of Australia, organised by this amazing girl Jessica Hong :)

It was a great night, music dj'ed by Ace, a band called 'when it rains' or something played throughout the night, there was an auction (selling off boys??? lol) and things like a coffee machine, music festival tickets, Jess got sold off too LOL

Luckily i was able to get vegetarian dishes for dinner, everyone else got meat dishes.

Someone turned the auto focus on my camera off!! So most of the photo's were taken with my canon still cam.

My plant is dying :(

I got this from one of our suppliers last xmas, and it has lasted till now!! I hope that if i keep watering it it might come back to its previous beautiful life hehe..

Work has been extremely busy that i don't water it everyday like i used to, which isnt a good thing either because it's like .. giving it too much water makes it dependant on water more then it should be, so really i should only be watering it once every few days?? Well i read that somewhere..

Monday 1st December 2008

Tonight was the decider game, if we won this game we'd be playing in the semi finals! And.. we won!! the score was... 7-5 or something like that, so excited!! Apparently we are 2nd in the 3rd division (there's 4 teams in 3rd division) which makes us coming 2nd last lol.

Me, Rick, Anne & Revinder attended global gathering today! It's a daytime music festival, music being house, trance & hardcore? hardstyles meh whats the diff ITS STILL MY FAV :)

Had heaps of fun, left early cos we're old farts hehe. Saw some friends, met wierd people, saw wierd things lols

Afterwards we headed to Revinder's place to play BUZZ. Rick won (as per usual grrr..) and after dropping everyone home i finally got home and went to bed straight away i was sooooo tired.

out of them all. I really need a tripod, and better planning lol (the place where i thought the sun would rise was where the sun would actually set... grr) so i had to drive around and couldnt find a nice spot anywhere..!!

I woke up at around 9 this morning, Annie was sleeping (she stays up till about ... 3-5am, then sleeps at around 6am to about noon), i was woken at 5am when they had to do sum observations

Usually Annie wakes me up during the night to massage her legs, scratch her back, itchy her big toe .. last night i didnt hear anything from her ?? Which means she is more comfy (more drugs hehe)

I stayed in till about 4 in the arvo when my parents came in, & Rick was around so we went to snap up some foto's in the courtyard. I took a whole bunch of foto's but this would be my favourite (you can view the other photo's here)

After that i went home 2 get ready & picked up Rick for dinner :) We decided to find sum italian @ Leidchardt (we havent eaten italian for a couple of months now)

We ate at Elio - i think it's a fairly new restaurant, but then again we havent been to Leidchardt for a long time. I enjoyed dinner babe i miss going out with you *hugs*

I slept in the hospital tonight with Annie, she is still keeping awake at night because she sleeps alot during the day... she's on more morphine now so her leg pains rent as bad

The Starlight foundation, are helping Annie with going to her year 10 formal!! She has been practising sitting upright in her wheel chair daily (for about 2 hours). This usually leaves her exhausted and then she'll sleep for the rest of the afternoon.

She will be able to choose her dress, and shoes, and cab fares paid for as well to & from the formal. She's extremely excited to be able to attend, and see all her friends :)

I will be accompanying her, it's on Tuesday .. 9th December i think! She doesnt want my dad to go with her, she thinks its embarassing lol. I'm so happy she asked me i'm teary just thinking about how SPECIAL this night will be for her

A gift from the Starlight FOundation (in particular, Captain Starlight!)

They are AMAZING people they are constantly coming by to see Annie, giving her toys, things to do. Once Annie was sleeping and a lady came in she was all dressed up, and introduced herself to me as 'Captain Starlight' i find that so funny!

Annie, i am glad to say she is looking alot better these days, and is also more talkative. There was a long period of time where.. she was just down alot of the time, and sleeping alot. She is looking better, but we have no word from the doctors about her condition & how the tumour is going.
